THE COMMON LAW IS THE WILL OF MANKIND ISSUING FROM THE LIFE OF THE PEOPLE
This startling statement is on the home page of the Justice Department's website. www.justice.gov. While it sounds high and mighty there is so much wrong with it. The "will of mankind" has nothing to do with forming the common law, but rather the will of God. It is the commandments of God that form the basis of society. Further, the law does not issue from the "life of the people", but again, the will of God. If it is the will of a people to legalize abortion, same sex marriage, that certainly does not make these things licit and codifying them in written law will only bring people to grief.
The Democratic Party's platform, as adopted this week, specifically advances the intention to protect the "rights" of abortion and "same-sex marriage". I put quotations around those words because neither one exist in the natural world. They are abominations and do grave violence to order and peace.
No one who sincerely follows Christ and has hopes to see Him in heaven can support these agendas or vote for the Democrats as they push them.
In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him, and without Him was made nothing that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men: and the Light shineth in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

It is to each person to choose the statement above or the one posted below:

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to give
testimony of the Light, that all men might believe through Him. He was not the Light, but was to give
testimony of the Light that was the true Light, which enlighteneth every man
that cometh into this world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the
world knew Him not. He came unto his
own, and His own received Him not. But
as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God; to
them that believe in His name: who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of
the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH,
and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as of
the Only-begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
