The Incoherent Supreme Court

in·co·her·ent [in-koh-heer-uhhttp://static.sfdict.com/dictstatic/dictionary/graphics/luna/thinsp.pnghttp://static.sfdict.com/dictstatic/dictionary/graphics/luna/thinsp.pngnt, -her-] adjective
1. without logical or meaningful connection; disjointed; rambling: an incoherent sentence.

This word, incoherent, best sums up the Supreme Court’s attempt at settling the issue of the impossible: “gay marriage”.  In the Defense Of Marriage Act (DOMA) ruling they stated that the states have the jurisdiction to declare for their own people how a marriage is defined.  They reasoned that it was not the purpose of the Federal government to usurp state authority on this matter, thus DOMA, a law that protected the true definition of marriage, for federal purposes, was struck down.

However, in almost the same breath, they refused to interfere in a lower federal district court’s ruling which struck down a California state law which was lawfully passed by a sovereign state, also declaring a marriage to be solely between a man and a woman. What the hell?!!!  DOMA is struck because it is not the federal government’s business what the states rule for themselves in this matter.  However, when one state does rule conservatively in this matter, a federal judge may strike it down!

Fellow Christians, the writing is on the wall.  Like a ratchet, regardless of which way the handle turns, the movement of our country is always towards evil.  We must all turn back to the Holy Roman Catholic Church.  We must take up the shield of faith and fight this tide with courage.  When a colleague at work lets slip a statement supporting this kind of evil, say something; make it polite, but say something.  Say something affirming the teachings of Jesus Christ right then, do not wait for a better time, it will not come.

The real tragedy in these many and manifest errors is the millions of lost souls.  If we stay silent, hoping to hold our seat in the Bark of Peter without risk to ourselves, we will be to blame.  If we speak up and receive chastisements for our efforts our crown will shine only the brighter in the times to come.  If we speak up and someone has their conscience tweaked enough to return home, then we may truly hear the soothing words of our Lord calling us a “good and faithful servant”.

I do not know why this darkness is consuming the world but it is time to fight for Christ.
